Organisation Registration
In order to use the retrieval services of www.fido.ie, you first must register your organisation. If you have not previously registered as an organisation please do so now.
NOTE: Organisations outside Ireland will be refused.
An organisation must have access to scanning technology obtain chip IDs, which are needed to retrieve contact details for microchips of lost pets.
Examples of organisations are:
- Veterinary Surgeons
- Welfare Societies
- Local Authority Pounds
- Garda Stations
- Charities
When you apply to become an Organisation, the administrative section of www.fido.ie will review your request and approve your status as an organisation, thus ensuring your access to the retrieval facilities of this service.
Just as when someone registers as an owner, when you register as an organisation, you will create an organisation user identity which will be unique to you and which you allow you access to the retrieval services of www.fido.ie
This section is also where an organisation can register mobile phone numbers that will be compatible with the SMS based retrieval of stored data. Only approved mobile phone numbers will be entitled to receive registered information on owners of retrieved microchips

Notes:
- Choose your own password, with at least 8 letters. The letters will not be shown as you type them, so we ask that you type the password twice (in the two boxes) to be sure that you don't make a mistake.
- Telephone numbers should include region numbers, but no hyphens or other punctuation. Example: 019876543.
- A zero can be used to indicate "no phone number", but you must supply at least one telephone number (work or mobile).
- You will be contacted by Fido to establish your bona fides.
- Fido reserves the right to refuse any application, and to report any misuse of Fido data.
